NHL Playoff Thoughts

Hard to imagine, but after only 2 games in each semi-final series, it's seems a formality that the Flyers will take on the Hawks for Stanley

It was easy to believe that a 1 vs 2 matchup and a 7 vs 8 matchup would produce close, hard-fought outcomes, but it's only true for 1 series

The one series that still offers hope for a 7-game war to the end is Chicago/San Jose...as a whole, the two teams have played pretty even...

The difference has been goaltending....Antti Niemi is doing more to answer the critics...Evgeni Nabokov is doing more to appease the critics

San Jose can get back in this series if it doesn't get down on itself and continues 2 play the way they have in the first couple of games...

However, I see less hope 4 the Montreal Canadiens in coming back against the Flyers, but how many times have we been down this road already?

The big problem is the physical play of the Flyers is not only causing confusion and havoc for the Canadiens, it's deflating them as well...

And the person looking the most deflated is the guy the Habs need to be the most secure and confident, Jaroslav Halak...that's a big problem
