Only 5 stadiums to go!

25 down and 5 to go as we get close to the finish line.....Hanging out in Windsor for the last couple of days was just odd after being in places that could be as much as 100 times bigger....I would love to know how many Windsors you could fit in a place like New York City or Los Angeles? I like math and numbers, but that's too much effort for me today.....lol

Wanted to watch Game 2 of the NBA Finals at Caesars Windsor and the WEC title fight between Mike Brown and Urijah Faber because I had heard they had sports wagering there, so that got me excited....but as I should have figured, the casino is basically another arm of the government, so all they offered was exactly what Pro-Line would offer, which means no wagering on basketball or MMA....

Probably a good thing that I didn't put some bets down....I would have won on the Lakers, but would have lost big money on Faber....I figured Faber would just be too motivated and too skilled for Brown the second time around, but boy, was I fooled by that result....it will be interesting to see what the WEC does now 'cause they built a lot of their brand around Faber and now he's lost twice in a row....it's nowhere near the situation that EliteXC found themselves in when they put all their eggs in the basket of Kimbo Slice, but the WEC doesn't have much star power after Faber....

Wow, didn't think I would talk that much MMA when I started writing? LOL

Anyways, back to the stadiums, Comerica Park was a nice ballpark, but Detroit is just such a shady place....everyone I talked to said that I needed to stay in Windsor and boy, were they right! And this is from going to a day game, I can't imagine what the atmosphere is like for a night game there...

They have a couple of shuttle buses that go from the bus station in Windsor to the game in Detroit for 4 dollars each way.....you go down through the tunnel and then immediately have to go through customs....let me tell you, going through US Customs is way more stressful than going through Canadian customs...

In fact, I feel a little unnerved by how lax our customs is compared to the US....I was grilled with about 14 questions in 2 minutes by the US agents and was only asked three questions in 20 seconds by the Canadian agent....in fact, when I got into Pearson last week from my flight out of Minneapolis, I didn't even have to officially declare any of my purchases because that section of Customs was closed....I'm glad that they just took my word of only bringing back a few hundred dollars worth of stuff back from the US.....hahaha

But I can't imagine how annoying it would be to go back and forth time and time again 'cause the process takes about 15 minutes each way.....

Wow, I'm going off on a lot of tangents today....Alright, back to the stadium again, it's got great sightlines, does a great job of remembering the past with exhibits and statues all over the stadium and it does boast a couple unique characteristics to make it its own, but I just can't help but ding it some points because of the location....too bad 'cause as I said yesterday, they have some great fans there....
