Even though Hall and Seguin are considered to be 1a/1b...it would be a huge shock 2 me to see the Oilers take Seguin...they just can't do it
It's not due to anything Seguin can control either...it's simply a case of public opinion...the Oilers fans want Hall and it's the safe move
It's exactly the same situation that the Islanders with John Tavares....they couldn't possibly take Hedman...in the end, both teams improved
The 1-2 from the 2008 Draft has worked out well 4 both TB and LA as well....Stamkos just won the Rocket and Doughty should win a Norris soon
But 2007 was a different story...Patrick Kane goes 1 to the Hawks and has been a superstar...Van Riemsdyk goes 2 and hasn't really done much
What the Oilers don't want is a repeat of the 2007 NBA/NFL Drafts as the #1's turned out to be huge busts and the #2's became instant stars!
