For those confused by the title, it’s a line from a Simpsons episode....that’s where Lloydy and I really mesh well since we can pretty much recite every episode from the Simpsons up to about three or four years ago when the show’s relevance and comedic factor went down the tube....but that’s another blog entry for another day....
We drove through the rest of Texas and a lot of Arkansas before we made to Forsyth, Missouri where Chris and Greg’s cousin and aunt live....we had to go through the backroads of Missouri for what seemed like forever in order to get there, but once we got there, we realized the tranquility and country charm of living in the Midwest....I can do without the tornado warnings that had gone through the night before though, but everything was A-OK with everyone when we arrived....
We then eventually made our way to Branson for some dinner and nightlife....I knew Branson was a smaller place with a lot of tourists, but the official population of Branson is only 6 thousand people, so there’s not much going on without the tourists, but the tourists are coming in so much that Branson has its own airport now....unreal! What other town of 6 thousand people has its own airport....lol
As far as entertainment goes, all signs were correct and everything is catered to someone in their 60 and 70’s.....There’s nothing here that I would actually want to see.....I don’t even want a free ticket to any of these shows, so I’m assuming that I will not be coming back to Branson anytime soon, but you never know....
We ended up at a place called Bar Louis after dinner and we just had a chance to have some drinks and Chris and Greg had a chance to catch up with their cousin Alexa....there’s a couple of you out there that have asked for a picture of her, which is just hilarious....so I asked and she said that she’ll find a good one of her for me to put up eventually, so we’ll wait on that.....Alexa is a cool girl and a lot of fun to just chill with, but she didn’t end up joining us for a couple of days, but it was good to meet her...
Greg and I had something called the Branson Bomb....a double shot containing tequila, peach schnapps, cranberry mix and red bull.....it tasted like Jello, but a couple Branson Bombs later, I’m not feeling all that good as we head to St. Louis for the game tonight....lol
4 hours to St. Louis for the game tonight....another 4 hours to the game in Kansas City tomorrow night, then we go our seperate ways and I’m on my own for the first time in a month as I head to the Pacific Northwest on the weekend....
