I'm not by myself anymore!

Good to have my roommate here with me as we hang out for the first half of the week here in Minneapolis as I found myself at the Denver airport for the fourth time in a couple of weeks, so if anyone has any questions about Denver airport, you know where to ask....lol

I just have to reiterate how nice it is to be with someone from back home again after being on my own for a couple of weeks.....I was with Chris, Tony and Greg for the first month or so and it was great to be able to share the experiences of a new place with someone....I missed that when I was on my own and I have that again for a couple days with my roommate Paul....

First night here was a quiet Monday night in downtown Minneapolis.....we ended up going to a great homemade Italian restaurant where we basically stuffed ourselves....we had to walk it off around what they call the Nicolet mall.....just a downtown area with all the stores, restaurants and bars that you can imagine....

We ended up stopping at a place called Brit's Pub....sort of like a pub you would see in the Irish village back in the Market.....but the only difference is that at the back, they have a massive lawn bowling field where Monday-Friday....there are leagues that play Monday-Friday, but it's open to the public to play on Saturday and Sunday....I asked one of the bartenders if it was a bar for mainly people 30 and over....apparently, it's quite the opposite and 20-somethings love the idea of playing lawn bowling on a weekend....I guess it would be a good ice-breaker to meet someone....

That's the thing about this city though.....there's a lot of people 30 and over here, but not a lot of younger people.....having been here a couple of days, you can tell that this is a city to raise a family and not necessarily go out and have a party.....it might be because I'm here at the start of the week, but I'm pretty confident in saying that it's not going to get super-crazy here as the week goes on....
