Mall of America!

Of course, with any stay in Minneapolis, you have to take a trip out to the Mall of America....so we went out yesterday to do that....it was about a ten minute walk from the hotel to the rail line at Nicolet Mall....then about a 30 minute light rail ride from downtown, past the airport, to the Mall of America in Bloomington....

When I got there, it seemed like any old mall....the outside almost reminded me of St. Laurent shopping centre....that's until you walk in and you're within 100 metres of the Nickelodeon amusement park....it's not your typical mall anymore....

It's four floors and it's seperated into four quadrants.....all in all, we took about 4 and a half hours walking around the mall and shopping....I spent a little bit here and there....it just about impossible not to....

The highlight was heading to Silicon Speedway Store.....just a great store for NASCAR fans....I know everyone isn't into NASCAR, but I love watching any sort of car racing and if need be, I can watch a full NASCAR race....Bought a couple of shirts including a Digger shirt and took my picture beside the classic black number 3 Chevrolet of Dale Earnhardt...

They also have 3-D simulators there and you can race other people in these simulators, so we paid for a race against 5 other people....of course, yours truly won the race! :-)

There was a shuttle going to Mystic River casino from the mall, so we decided to make a side trip for a few hours there....had a terrible time at blackjack and lost my money pretty quickly, but we stuffed ourselves yet again with their buffet....I hate to say it, but I think Minnesota is now the fattest state that I've been to....everyone here is just freakin' huge! One bigger than the next....lol

Alright, Twins game tonight at the Metrodome for stadium number 23, then I'm back in Canada for the first time in almost two months as I head to Toronto tomorrow afternoon....
